Poetinalia

Dear Friends and Readers,

I’m sure by now you’ve noticed my recent absence, so I’m stopping in to tell you my Mom survived the surgery and is in the ICU now and for the next few days. Thanks to each and every one of you for your kind thoughts and prayers for my Mom. It’s because of you, yOu, and YoU, that she’s made it this far. I’m grateful for all well wishes and continued positive thoughts in my Mom’s general direction..:)

  7. Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers for my Mom. She’s doing so well at home and getting around pretty well. I said she wouldn’t be needing a visiting nurse, but that’s changed, because of her age, so visiting nurse will check up on her several times a week for vital signs and wound inspection. In about a month Mom will go in to have the other lung done. You’re all wonderful people and I’m blessed by each and every one of you. All of you have truly helped encourage me and lift my spirits through this difficult time. Love you all!

  8. Being at home will do wonders for your mother.
    i am happy about the additional care (nurse). That will help you out as well, give you time to refresh and retain the strength required to give good care.

    i work weekends as a companion/caregiver and taking care of yourself will help and prepare you to take excellent care of your mom.

    i thank God for this good news.

    Blessings to you both.

    Thank you, c, and blessings to you, too, my dear, for being such a wonderful, caring, and inspirational friend and poet/writer! I’m so glad you know what caregiving entails and how necessary you are to those convalescing at home. If I ever have the need for an in-house caregiver, I’m huntin’ you down, girl!! With your sense of humor and wisdom, I know my recovery is assured. That you are a caregiver shows me another side of the person you are, c. It takes a very special person to care for others when they’re sick or infirm. You’re a remarkable woman, you know that, don’t you?! {{{hugs}}}
