Phthpthft!

Ack! Ack! Ack! Ack! Ack!
And did I say effing ACK?!
Hard drive now kaput :(

With the number of things that have tried to discourage and deter me from my goals lately, to the dark force that is toying with my psyche and leaving me frustrated with these inconveniences and set-backs, to you, Dark Force, I say Bring it on!!!!  You’re going to have to do better than that, tho.  You piddling puffed-up piece of pompous assity!  You think it hurts not having a my trusted, decent superduperputer at my fingertips?!  You think I’m going down on my knees and shout “uncle”, you nincompoop!!  HaHaHa and Har Har Har!!! I have other ways of getting online. *smirk*  I have my Windows ME, sucker! *snicker* (ahem)  I’m using it as I speak (that’s “as I type” to you, you sniveling sidewinder!).  My patience has been honed on this incomparable ME Edition – I wait for 10 minutes to bring up a page!  I watch the load bar as it creeps across the horizon of my browser window e-v-e-r-s-o-s-l-o-w-l-y that I want to cry- BUT I DON’T!  I’m a tough nut looking to screw you like a wine corker. Right now – heh heh – as you tinker with my temperment like the silly sausage that you are, I’m sucking up to my loss and laughing at your tepid attempts to unglue me and drive me mad!   So come on, man, COME ON!!  Take your best shot, snot, because

I laugh in the face of danger!
I drop ice cubes down the vest of fear!

I take leave of your putrid presence, Dark Forces, off to sharpen my epee and file me teeth!

YOU BETTER BE GONE WHEN I GET BACK, D-effing-F !!!!

Or I will prick you long, deep and continuously !!!

(
Or at least until I get the hard drive up & running..:)

  3. I really really love what you did on the vest. Lol, you represent! ;)

  4. and the world trembles beneath the might of the poetmeister.

hope you’re well. stop by. i am posting again…finally.

  5. We wondered, of course, what had stilled the strident and strong voice of the Leigh. As an older person, I must say computers are a bane more than a boon. While they work, we have a delicate balance of relationship with them, but when they go awry, and they take cyber defecates and flood our senses, and kick up our ire, yes, it requires a rant, a rush, and sometimes a repair to set things right.

So, you go, girl, and you have our backing and blessings for sure. I am mining the Rick Mobbs archives as we anxiously await the delivery of his latest child. Wife Naomi is a week overdue at the moment. The child seems to have its own agenda.
I know that you have peeked over at FFTR now and again, and thanks for the odd comment here and there. I want to thank you sincerely for the bravura review you did on my 4 BUCK GAS on your other site. I smiled and was a bit overwhelmed by your enthusiasm and insights.

  6. Ok Janet……….
    Breathe….come on…..deep breath…count to three…..
    You’re better than they are…..
Dont let them get to you……

However, if you do choose to ignore my advice, take a long long long run….and Kick it right where it will hurt…………..
    ….in its…….Hardrive (LOL) ;-O

    Hope your well Janet :-D

  7. Pfyabat!

  8. Hey, nice to see you got out and found your way to Rick Mobbs blog. Great comment you made! We are all hoping and praying for his newest child. Hope your computer ails will be over soon. Sounds like Scott knows what he is doing.

  9. P.S. The first time I tried clicking the “Submit Commit” button I got the “This Page Can’t be Displayed” so I immediately clicked the Back button and my words were still in the form box. Thank God, or I’d really be po’d if I lost them! Grrr. If that happens again then I’m going to have to try “posting” this comment as an Entry. If that doesn’t work, I’m going b ack to Rick’s blog and try to post this in a comment form under his latest Entry. (I’m going to place this P.S. at the beginning of this comment instead of at the end. It might make more sense that way. Somehow I doubt it, tho..hee hee)

Hi Glenn, *wave* so nice to see you again, as well as all my poetic cyberfriends who’ve stopped in here to say hello and comment. Guess what?! This antiquated Microsoft Windows ME (Millineum Edition OS) won’t always let me post my own entries because it doesn’t “open” the “box” to type in. I found this out after trying to post an entry on P4P. I can post on another blog if my name and info is already in the form. I don’t know if it’s a hang-up of some sort from trying to install FireFox 2.0.0.1 so I could work in an invironment I’m used to; FireFox kekpt trying to over-ride the earlier version and install 2.0.0.14 and I kept blocking it. Had to re-install the earlier version several times. I thought I had it figured out and up and humming when it started to act fluky and inconsistent. Then Scott took the old HP Pavilion hard-drive with the ME and hooked it up to my flat Gateway monitor and new keyboard. apparently something is not compatible. I had to switch back over to Internet Explorer not realizing It still had IE6 – and ME won’t upgrade to IE7. So-basically this set-up is almost “read” only and I can post occasionally. Squarespace won’t let me do any posting until I upgrade to IE7 which of course I can’t on this computer arrangement, so I can’t post on Poetmeister 4 Poets! until I get my Gateway hard-drive repaired. Waaaaaaaaa! Waaaaa! (sucking thumb) While over in Scott’s office I was able to leave a comment on “Why Paisley’s” blog, too, I think. Have any idea why posting is acting fluky? OH! And you should see how clunky blogs look on this ME/IE6 set-up. HaHaHa. Most sidebars end up at the end of the page, videos won’t load, everything takes ages to process. It’s almost better for me to just back away from computing until I get the hard-drive repaired, but I know I can’t stay away from the Internet for more than a day. We’re also wondering how a hard-drive dies while the computer is shut off overnight? It’s less than a year old and was working perfectly the night before. -oo-

N-E-way, I hope my readers will understand and check back from time to time and won’t become too discouraged to continue coming by. I just love y’all and would miss the warmth and wealth of creativity and talent you all have and share so generously! It looks like it might be a week or so before I’m up and running again. However, I’ll be reading and posting when I’m able; when the blog software cooperates. I have no intention of giving up my blog, so if it becomes dormant, something fishy and highly suspect has happened, like the goons don’t like what I’ve published on my other, ahem, more political blog, and has put me on ice, okay, Glenn?! heh heh

To c, White Rose, tomachfive, Scott Summers, Stacey and Scot, thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me your thoughts, support, and good wishes! You guys are amazingly good to me and I treasure our cyberfriendship! Hang in there with me! This is just a bump for this dot in the universe! I SHALL RETURN!
