We live, love, then die.
Life is a drawn-out drama.
Wish it were a beach.

Sure is. But doesn’t this drama keep the heart ticking? But I’d rather have my heart beating near the beach too.

This haiku certainly brings a smile; so much more than the pessimistic, “Life is a bitch, then you die,” philosophy that many espouse. You found both the metaphysical base and the fun in taking those precious breaths we call “life”. Or for some of us, “this lifetime”. Kudos.

Hey, come on over to Doug Palmer’s blog, Feel Free To Laugh . He and I are having some fun with a new poetry form he has called “Twit-ku”. It is right down your alley, and up your street. Dig it.

Great lines. At this point in my life, I could not agree more.
