Naked eye

Feeling without
…………..within,

feeling alone
…………. together,

lost in wondering
………. found asunder,

learning to look inward
…………..for outward signs,

……………………………………a pupil,
……………………………………too close
……………………………………for comfort,
……………………………………silent screaming,
……………………………………joyless,
………………………………………………..empty,
…………………………………………………………….aching,

………………………………………………………………………..   .forever touchless.

  1. It conveys the story very well. Is a familiar story.

    Thanks, Anna!

  2. The essence of being human and the road to divinity…This has to be said, Janet. (=

Ah, yes, the inescapable human condition.. but I don’t understand your emoticon, Tom…?

Thanks so much for stopping in, Mary. I’ve been to your blog, as well, have enjoyed your perspective, and highly recommend it to my dear readers. Please go over to Meander With Me for some really interesting reads, dear readers!

  4. I like the tug and pull in this. Splendid!

    Thank you, JO..:)

  5. we all “see” from our loneliness..
i found mathematics in your poetry, nicely curved!!

You think those are nice, you should see my curves!
All blocks and angles, they are, heh heh, fooledja! I stink in math, seriously. I’m considered an idiot savant; PSAT’s = nearly perfect score for verbal skills/English, ~395 in math, no, seriously.

  6. I could not have seen ur visual poem if i hadn have my eyes.

    too close n still comfortable..

Very nice of you to come by and leave your nice comment, DreamSky. I appreciate it.

  7. Ouch.

Nothing to add. This feels raw. You really touched something there. Which is probably due to the simplicity and the clarity of the language (this is me trying to assess it intellectually). But.

    Ouch.

Your strong reaction to it, SylviaArio, makes me think you should avoid stoves. For the short term. -oo-
[hee hee, sorry, I couldn’t help myself, don’t be mad. Pleeeze!?!]

  8. Do be gentle with me. I am, as you know, an extremely sensitive soul.

I am going to cry now.

    Wheh.

    :)

  9. The sense of isolation in a crowd is very well portrayed in this.
